Land Rover Repair: Freelander dashlights not working, land rover freelander, testor

I have a land rover freelander, recently the lights for all the instruments went out, (so at night I cannot see how fast I am going) I have been unable to locate the fuse.  What can I do?

Hi Mark,

I had this problem happen on my LR Discovery.  The cause was a shorted out rear brake light bulbholder. You could start by checking to see if all the external lights are working.  I would then purchase a fuse testor and then look to see if any of your fuses are blown.  

Perhaps a component 'in series' with the dashlights has shorted out.
