Land Rover Repair: 2003 Disco II (thinking about buying), power door locks, wheel hubs

I wanna buy a 2003 Discovery II, but have heard that there is a lot of trouble
with Disco's mechanically.  What should I look for and how many miles is too
many?

Hi Chris,

best purchase is a diesel model.  Look for water stains in driver and passenger footwell; make sure all windows work, power door locks work; carefully examine rear door for hinge failure and rear door latch damage; examine wheel hubs for damage; have vehicle inspected before purchase to get an idea of what needs repairs.  Make sure vehicle was well maintained with current owner OR at least be able to see all maintenace schedule work.
