Land Rover Repair: gearbox fault 95 RR, o2 sensors, traffic auto

Question
I have a 95 range rover 4.6, driving along, usually when idling along in traffic, auto starts playing up jumping up and down gears motor missing and trying to stop. when you pull over and stop it says gearbox fault. This never happens when towing or at speed.Has happened five times in the last year

Answer
Hi Scott,

could it be your O2 sensors?  I'd hate to think its a gearbox problem.  Does not sound like gear adjustment problems.

Under load, you are forcing fuel and the tranny is not shifting as easily.

Could it be fuel feed related? Injector problems.
