Land Rover Repair: Land Rover Key, key fobs, code tag

I have a 2000 Series II Discovery. The keys have a built in fob with  remote lock and unlock buttons. The unlock buttons on both  key fobs  have perished and are breaking up. Land rover doesn't supply spare housing , they want to sell a whole new key, where can I get a replacement housing.

The metal key shank and the pushbutton handle are actually separate parts.  The plastic part with the buttons is called the fob.  You can buy it separate.  In the United States they are under $100.

It comes with a bar code tag which contains the info that the shop uses to code your truck to recognize the new fob.  Usually people have dealers do that coding though an independent with the proper tools (like us) will stock fobs and have the tools to program them.
