Land Rover Repair: 96 Disco OBDI and leaking power steering, obdi, hose connections

Question
I have a 1996 Discovery v8 gas engine and was wondering   1. where the OBD unit is located?
2. I have a lot of grease and fluid in the area under the power steering reservoir. Is their a instruction/diagram that can help me with the replacement of the problem?

Hi Donald,

1. Under driver's side dashboard (LH side).
2. Leaks in that area could could the steering box, the PS pump, the attached hoses (supply and return) or even the reservoir hose connections.

You have to determine where the leak is coming from.  Throughly clean the area and then wait for the leak to leave tell tale signs.  Once you know which component is leaking, send me an email and I'll see what techsheets I can locate for you.
