Land Rover Repair: Fuel Pressure, electronic engine management, engine controller

I have a 97 Disco V8i which now is also on gas. I recently found it wont run on petrol. It has while of have been on gas. I have replaced fuelk filter. I was told could be blocked injectors but after someone looking at it they said the idle was fine so not injectors. Only when you acclerate does it choke and backfire if I floored it. You can hear the fuel pump when turning ignition on as it starts on petrol then auto clicks to gas. I am now told it is a fuel pressure issue. Any suggestions please and could you also email me this aswell. Thankyou

You could have a fuel pressur eproblem but it could just as well be a problem with the electronic engine management.  The first thing I would do would be to drive the truck while looking at the live data from the engine controller with a scan tool.

If you have a fuel pressure problem you will see the injector duty cycle shoot up near 100%.
