Land Rover Repair: suspension, solenoid, ecu

hi. i started my disco td5 up this morning (year 2000)and the suspension raised on driver side to extreme height for no reason (a good 14 inches) and will not lower at all. the passenger side is normal. i would really appriciate any advice on this thanxs mark.

This could be probably 2 things.  

1 the solenoid is stuck open, allowing air to come in when not needed, but that's not highly likely as the compressor would have to be running.

2-that side height sensor has gone bad, the ECU thinks that wheel is low-much more likely
