Land Rover Repair: rear suspension, warm soapy water, digital volt meter

Question
can any one help, i have a 2001 TD5 ES, when the disco is at rest the rear of the car loks low, even when i start her up the is no change in ride high, i have tried the suspension switch and still no change, (with the door closed). i have checked the fuses and i think the right relay. and a quick look under the car at the compressor which does not seam to be working. is there any other checks i can do before takening it to the dealer.

Many thanks

Answer
Hi Paul,

most likely its an airbag leak.  Compressor may suffer if not repaired.  I've been told that warm soapy water sprayed by fine mist around the airbags may reveal bubbles (leaks).

That's about it.  If you are hand with a DVM (digital volt meter) you could always probe to see if the compressor is getting power.

Best of luck,
