Land Rover Repair: 1987 Rangie tire wear, alignment specialist, ball joints

Question
I just purchased a 1987 Range Rover and it appears to have some unusual front tire wear for a straight axle truck. Having experience only with jeeps, I would venture to say it has a bent front axle or worn ball joints. The tread on the inside of the tires is worn and the outer tread is normal. It is a noticeable angle on the tread, but you can't tell by looking at the axle.

Answer
I'm not sure what the question is here.  It sounds like you need to make a trip to an alignment specialist and find out if there's a problem.

If the axle is bent, a heavy duty shop can straighten it.  Otherwise, get a workshop manual and read up on rebuilding the swivels.
