Land Rover Repair: freelander vibration., cv joints, mechanic check

Hello John,
I just bought a 2003 freelander and I have lots of vibrations. The vibrations only happen above the speed of 25 mph all the way up to highway speed. They are also always there when I press down on the gas pedal but as soon as I lift my foot off the gas pedal the vibrations stop. I had a mechanic check the cv joints and he said they were ok and so are the shatfs. He did notice some play in the engine mounts though. Could that be it? If not any ideas?

I doubt if the engine mounts alone would cause this problem, but it's really a matter for a skilled Land Rover tech who can drive your truck and then render an opinion.
