Land Rover Repair: 1995 Range Rover LWB leak, windshield seals, interior padding

Hi John,
Can you give me some places to look for a water leak on t he drivers side floor. It gets soaked and never seems to dry out. Could it be the windshield seal ? or any other suggested places to look..Thanks

Hi Scott,

yes.  Windshield seals is one, framing post is next, then floor welds.  

Where ever there are welds, there can develop cracks and leaks.

The corner post on my Disco was leaking water down into the footwell.  I had to strip out all the interior padding and reseal the welds.

I found a leak in the footwell - just behind the front wheel area.  Over time, vibrations must have caused the weld to crack and all that road water just started leaking in.  You'd have to remove the seats, carpet, padding to expose the floor and look for leaks.
