Land Rover Repair: Range Rover Sunroof, sunroof assembly, day job

Hi, I recently bought a 2001 DHSE and the Sunroof seems to be possessed ! Works fine on tilt but will not open on slide.When in Mamual mode you can hear the motor working on tilt but not on slide. Is there a possible fault with the switch ??? Thanks

The tracks that the roof slides on break.  To fix this problem, you drop the headliner and unbolt the sunroof assembly from the roof of the vehicle.  You take the roof and slide mechanism out of the truck and dismantle and fix it on the bench.

It's an all-day job.  Here in the USA, the slide tracks are about $120 each, and there are two.
