Land Rover Repair: SRS light, turn signal switch, colum

I have a 1998 Freelander XEDI S Wagon when i use the indicators a buzzing sound comes from the colum the whole thing stops i have to restart the engine and the SRS light comes on can you please tell me what is causing this thankyou very much  Linda

Hello Linda,

this sounds like an electrical short.  Since it involves the SRS, you should have this problem addressed as soon as possible.  If the SRS should deploy suddenly, you could find yourself and your passengers in peril.

It may be a simple electrical short in your steering column, the turn signal switch or something like that.

I would strongly advise you to call you local LR specialist and have this repaired immediately.
