Land Rover Repair: P38 keyfob programming and repair, turn the key, range rover

Question
I have a 2000 range rover with 2 keys but 1 key fob doesn't work.
I have changed the batteries and the red light works when you press it but nothing on the vehicle.
can you tell me how to programme it.
also the push button needs replacing on the keyfob.
how do i get the keyfob apart.

After replacing the battery you need to re-synch the key to the RR.  Put the fob in the door and turn it to Lock, push the lock button, release and center the key.  Turn the key to UnLock and push the UnLock button.  That should re-set the key to your RR.

The button cover just pulls off of the front, a small screwdriver works well, do NOT open the keyfob.
