Land Rover Repair: Ignition problem, workshop manual, plug wires

Hello, I am the unlucky owner of a 95 Disco-
thought I might give it a tune up- so I changed the cap, roter plugs and a new set of wires- It kicked over once, ran very ruf, now it wont even start!!- I made it worse. pulled the plugs, they were gas-soaked, replaced then and put a new set in, and the old wires back on- now it just attempts to start,eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh is the sound it makes buy the way my nearest LR dealer is over 300 miles away. please help

It certainly sounds like you made a mistake installing those parts.  The most likely problem is the fitting of plug wires in the wrong order.  I suggest you call Rovers North 802 878 0032 and order a workshop manual, and check your plug wire installation with the chart.
