Land Rover Repair: remote door opener, bar code labels, remote door opener

Question
I have a 99 dico 2, how do you program a new remote ( alarm) opener? TX

Answer
All programming of the Land Rover DII remotes has to be done with the Land Rover test system ( a t4, autologic, etc) so there's nothing you can do at home.

If the remote was originally programmed for your car and no longer works, it may have broken and require replacement.  In the USA, the pushbutton part of the key is separate from the key itself.  It's referred to as the PLIP.

To program a PLIP to your car, you will need the bar code label that came with the PLIP when new.  It has the necessary bar code labels.  Without the bar code, a new or uncoded PLIP is trash.
