Land Rover Repair: 99 LR Discov/Elec prob, land rover specialist, fuse box

Question
While driving down the road my entire system in the vehicle...engine, lights the whole works completly shuts off then resets.  Sometimes it will reset in a matter of seconds, the longest it has taken has been about 10 minutes.  A few mechanics that looked at it said a faulty "body control modular".  Im a broke college student that bought the car used and want to try to find a way to fix it with out getting another loan.  Any advice would be appreciated

My guess is that you have a problem with the cables from the battery, the alternator, or to and from the fuse box or body control module.

I suspect that you are going to need a skilled Land Rover specialist to track this down.  As frustrating as this sounds, you are probably not going to have success fixing this problem unless you can demonstrate it for the repair shop.  So, pay close attention to when it happens:  does it happen in the rain?  Only when turning right?  When hitting bumps?  When you turn on the headlamps?

Pay close attention to what you are doing when the problem occurs.  Try and find out if there's a pattern.
