please could you help and tell me how to adjust handbrake

Hello Jason,
Here is the US we do not have the 1.8i model, although I think the brake setup may be the same with the US models.
If the car has rear drum brakes ,you should be able to adjust the hand brakes by removing the rear drums and turn the adjuster wheel. Hope it helps.
