Land Rover Repair: Water Leakage, land rover discovery, water leaks

Question
The windshield has the defroster coils in it and I'm sure is very expensive.  Would a repair center still replace the entire windshield?  This seems like a bit of a waste...Also, could you hazard a guess as to whether this would be covered under the APCO service plan?  Thanks John.

-----Question-----
I have a 2001 Land Rover Discovery.  On a recent trip we were traveling in a rain storm for about 3 hours when my wife (in passenger seat) noticed some drops of water hitting her feet.  On closer inspection I found that the foam/plastic material directly under the glove compartment box was saturated with water.  When I stopped the vehicle and parked it for the night, all of the water ceased and dried up even though it continued to rain outside.  Can you hazard a guess as to what might be causing this leak and what can be done to fix it?  Thanks in advance.
-----Answer-----
The most likely source of leakage is a bad windshield seal.  You may well have to replace the windshield and all the seal pieces in order to resolve the leak.

That's the cause of 80%-90% of troubles like you describe

Answer
I am sorry to report that windshields are glued in place and it's almost impossible to get the old one out without breaking it.

APCO does not cover trim or body or cosmetic items.  Water leaks are not covered.  Our company is an APCO dealer, so I'm familiar with their policies.
