Land Rover Repair: Disco 2 Cruise Control Surging, vacuum hoses, vacuum hose

I have a 2003 Disco 2. When I set the cruise control it feels like it is surging. Any ideas?

Surging but not cutting out . . . you should check the vacuum hoses for cracks.  Otherwise there is not much you can do without special test gear.  The dealer T4 system is the only tester I know of that can actually diagnose cruise in those vehicles.

That's how we would attack your problem in our shop - we'd look for visible vacuum hose trouble then hook up the T4.
