Land Rover Repair: 96 Discovery wont start, starter relay, radio code

Question
Just did a motor swap, bought a new starter, engine won't turn.  The Hayyne's repair manual is no help at all.  No clicking, no noise whatsoever when we try to crank it.  Do I need to punch in the radio code?

Answer
You may have a basic problem, like not hooking up the starter, starter relay, neutral switch, etc.

It's also possible you have lost synchronization between the alarm controller and the GEMS engine controller.  If that has happened it won't crank till you tow it to a shop with a Rovacom, Autologic, or T4 test system for re-sync.
