Volvo Repair: Replacing the Alternator Belt, alternator belt, c bracket

Question
Our 1993 940 Vovlo turbo lost its alternator belt today (it just tore and came off while we were driving). How can we get the new one on? What belts do we need to take off (and how) to get the alternator belt on?

Hello Sarah,  Well since you lost the one belt the others are not far behind.Its time to replace all three.Volvo belts or Gates is the way to go on parts.You'll need a ratchet,short 13mm socket,deep 13mm socket,10mm socket,6" extension and a 13mm swival socket ,it goes on the extension to reach the 'back' a/c bracket nut,and the 10mm socket it will be used to tuur the adjusting screws.
