Land Rover Repair: Freelander ABS/TC/HDC lights on!, diagnostic socket, modulator valve

Question
Hello.I have a problem with my 99 freelander, and the dealer said that was a problem with the modulator valve and must replace the modulator. The modulator can be repaired? How can i turn off the lights without go to the dealer?Does the freelander have a OBD diagnostic socket? Thanks

Answer
In response to your three questions:

1) Some faults can be repaired while others call for a new modulator.  You can always subscribe to Land Rover's web site www.landrovertechinfo.com for a day and read the bulletins yourself if you lack confidence in the dealer.

2) There is no way to turn the lights off without repairing the problem and clearing the faults with the Land Rover test system

Your vehicle has an OBD II connector under the dash but the generic scan tools will only connect to the engine.  You'll need a specialist tool like Autologic or T4 to talk to the ABS and other systems
