Land Rover Repair: ABS sensor adjustment, wheel sensors, exact depth

Hi! What's the right gap for ABS sensors? What's the main cause (in the swivel pin housing)for gap variation? It's a LR Discovery1 1998, V8, Petrol & Automatic. Thanks a lot for your advice!

Ivan,

as far as I can tell, your sensors should be self-seated.  Just make sure they are free of any grit or oil.  Give them a good cleaning and then install them again.  

I've checked around and there is no exact depth to their placement.

Hi Ivan,

I'm not sure of the placement adjustment for wheel sensors. I always thought they seated on their own, however, other owners say they have to make adjustments.  I'll look into this and post you a followup.
