Land Rover Repair: Fan removal, impact hammer, correct tool

Question
Trying to remove the fan from the water pump. Fitted correct spanner and have welted it hard many times,no movement. Is the correct direction for removal anti-clock when facing into the engine bay. Whats the next move.

Answer
We have a special Land Roer tool to hold it so we can turn it.  If you don't have the tool you can often crack it loose by using an air impact hammer.  

Otherwise, if you're going to do it more than once, you may want to buy the correct tool from your dealer.
