Land Rover Repair: Lock door stuck, metal latch, push rods

Question
I own a LR Discovery 1 1998. Few days ago I realized that a front door was a little hard to open, I've heard that lock had to be lubricated or one day it was not going to open, so I removed the door interior cover and lubricated the point of mechanism I had access. I didn't move any ajustement, only put some grease on points I was able to see. It worked perfect like a new one, but only one day, becasue now it's close and I can not to open it again. I still don't understand what happened but I am very worried for opening it again. My question: Do you have any idea how I can open it?

Answer
Ivan,

is it possible to open from the inside?  Could be that the lubricant oversprayed onto the plastic push rod that leads from the door handle to the latch mechanism.

If you can open the door from the inside it will be easier to remove the door panel and clean up the push rods I mention.  You could even use a small piece of sandpaper to scratch the plastic rod that pushes against the latch OR scratch the metal latch that the rod pushes against.  This may provide better grip.

of course this all depends on opening that %$#@$ door.

Best of luck,
