Land Rover Repair: 2000 RR Transmission stuck in reverse/ABS Fault/Traction Failure, electronic automatic transmission, solenoid valves

Question
First, im am stuck in park, starts up fine, i checked my brake lights, do not come on, i looked at the box above the brake, how do i know if it is not working? is it because the light do not come on. What is the dealer name for that piece?
Second, the abs fault and after traction failure comes out on the message center, this all happened at the same time, can you please help with confirming what i think it is (reading some of your previous post).  The previous post seemed to be with disco's.  Thankyou.

Answer
Hi Joey,

could be the brake switch.  It's one of 15 components involved in this scenario:

1 Permanent battery supply (30A Fuse)
2 Battery supply (100A Fuse)
3 Main relay
4 Starter relay
5 Temperature sensor
6 Turbine speed sensor
7 Output speed sensor
8 Brake switch
9 Electronic Automatic Transmission (EAT) ECU
10 Inhibitor switch
11 Solenoid valves
12 Engine Control Module (ECM)
13 Instrument pack
14 Diagnostic socket
15 Selector lever range switch
16 Shift interlock solenoid

Check fuse 17 (10A) for the brake switch.

Best of luck,
