Land Rover Repair: door and horn, penetrating oil, wd40

Question
Hi there...I drive a 2002 disco 2 series, and I am having 2 problems.  My horn stopped working, just won't blow.  The other is my back trunk door won't open.  I got a bag out, closed the door, and tried to open the door an hour later, won't open.  I am not very close to a dealership, and when I take the car in they always have it for days to weeks, so if it's something simple I can do...I am always up for giving it a go...or having my in town mechanic give it a look.  Thanks for your help!

Answer
There's not much you can do with the horn except check the fuse.

The back door it probably something you can fix yourself.

Carefully pry the LAND ROVER logo out of the rear door handle.  Spray WD40 or similar penetrating oil onto the hinges of the rear door handle and work it back and forth until it moves freely.

When it's free your door will work.

Grease the stop bar at the bottom of the rear door, and oil all the hinges and latches to prevent it jamming in the future.
