Land Rover Repair: coolant leak/oil leak, coolant leak, head gaskets

Question
hello,
I have a 2000 discovery II that leaks oil and coolant. They both seem to be coming from the front of the engine, what could it be?I have had one problem after another,do they ever end with these vehicles? It only has 66,000 miles on it.

Answer
I suggest you degrease the front of your engine and have a look to see what's leaking.  Head gaskets, intake, front cover, water pump, hoses, throttle preheater - all are possibilities

Do the problems ever end?  It's a car.  cars break.

Take a look at www.rangerovers.net for a list of repair shops near you, and look at my own web site where I have a number of reprints of my Robison on Rovers columns about various issies on these cars.  Look at www.robisonservice.com > service > land rover > articles
