i have a 96 disco and the service light will not go off. can you help ?

Hi Wes,

could be just an emissions reminder.  Go to www.discoweb.org and check out the TECH section.  In there, you should find an excellent article on resetting the service engine light.  

IF you can't do this, the dealer will for about $300 plus and parts and labour they want to add onto the bill.  Some dealers are straight up and will just reset the code, others will want to make it worth your while. uh oh.
