Land Rover Repair: Range Rover fuse blowing, range rover classic, ammt

Question
I own a 1991 Range Rover Classic 3.9EFI

The problem is a constantly blowing 20A fuse. The fuse in question is identified as 'A5'

I have looked at some of the circuits related to the fuse such as external electrical connections without finding the fault. Is there a 'likely' cause for this problem and how should I approach the problem in a logical sequence?

Answer
I don't have the electrical manual for your Model so I can't give specifics.  Is it blowing instantly, or after a bit of time?

If it's instant you have a dead-short, problem in the wiring most likely.  If it's going after some time you have a problem with a load.  Trace it out and disconnect all the loads off of that fuse.  Make sure it doesn't blow in the same ammt of time, then re-connect the loads one by one until it goes again.  The last one connected is most likely the cause.

If it's in the wiring you can check the resistance across the load, if it's low or 0, that circuit is your problem.
