Key gets stuck in the ignition.  It comes out only when you disconnect the battery.

Answer -
Newer Rovers have a key hold solenoid that only releases to let the key out in park.  That solenoid is staying engaged, which tells me the switch that tells the solenoid it's in park is not working or not adjusted right.

www.landrovertechinfo.com has step by step instructions to get at the switch and adjust it.  Most Rovers have this switch inside the center console.

You might also just temporarily remove the surround for the steering column, locate the solenoid (on the switch) and unplug it.  Then the key will come out any time, drive or park, until you can do a proper repair.

Answer
No, the advice is the same but now we can be specific.  Either get rid of the key solenoid by unplugging it or take the center console apart to get at the switch.

It's going to be easier to unplug the solenoid, but fixing the switch is the right thing to do.  If you unplug the solenoid you may have a problem with the battery going dead if the truck sits a few days because the switch is still active.  I'm not sure on a 95.
