Land Rover Repair: 99 Disco looses coolant, coolant loss, overflow tube

I just read a complaint from another 99 Disco owner who stated he replaced head gaskets 2 years in a row in an attempt to fix his coolant loss.
I too have experienced fall coolant loss but have also noticed that my passenger side floor is getting leaked on(not the clogged overflow tube) and carpet is always wet. It seems to come from the heater core somewhere and often fogs the inside window glass. It doesn't smell like coolant though. I also must top up every few days and always smell coolant vapor after driving.VERY annoying and un-nerving. Thanks for any help.

With the pass side footwell wet it sounds like your heater core orings have gone bad.  This is a common problem with the Range Rovers of that era, I belive they have the same setup, so the same common problem would apply.  

Replacing the heater core orings isn't a simple job, but much cheaper and easier than a head-gasket.
