Land Rover Repair: 2002 Disco II vibration and rattiling, wheel hub, case repair

My Disco vibrates and grinds heavy when I'm accelerating.  And when get off the gas, something starts to rattle beneath the truck.  Sounds like metal hitting metal.  How serious is this problem and how much do you think this is going to cost me.

It sounds like you have a serious problem, and I suggest you have it checked out right away before you cause more damage.

You could have a problem with one of your driveshaft u-joints, or a problem with a wheel hub, or something in the transfer case.

Repair could cost $1,000 or more but failure to repair could result in a far more costly breakdown.
