Land Rover Repair: No keyless entry, no interior lights, no rear sunroof, radio frequency receiver, dashboard lights

Question
Hello John-

2001 Disco SE

I have a few problems and am I hoping for one solution.  My keys don't work, although replaced battery and red light indicator works.  The 3 interior lights in headliner don't work.  And the rear sunroof controls don't work (rear sunroof does operate from front control and front sunroof controls are fine).

I have checked all fuses under driver side panel and see nothing blown.

I read somewhere about a Range Rover that the radio frequency receiver for keyless entry was under headliner near rear sunroof.  I was thinking all are related, possibly some wiring issue.

Have any ideas?

Thank you,
Julie

PS. Replaced car battery just prior to these issues, it shouldn't have contributed, but thought I would mention.

Answer
Hi Julie,

so you recently changed your battery and then these problems arose?

What circumstances made you change the battery?  Could it be possible that a relay has failed and as a consequence these problems surfaced?

I've seen problems with one component, the failed sunroof switch, affect other components like the interior lights or dashboard lights.

Just in case, check the interior light bulbs to make sure they are working. Same with your remote key fob.  Could be that all are related to the security system OR a common relay.

Let me know what you find out,

JohnMc
