Land Rover Repair: 2 problems, number cruncher, giant leap

Dear John,I was reading about Tim and his comments which dealt with landrovers 3 light and valve job problems.I own a 2003 disco 2 with 88000 on the clock and also have these exact problems.That fellow gary needs a good root in the arse.I think we all need to drive up to the landrover head quarters together and voice our concerns.

an '03 with these problems? I hope you're still under warranty.

It's a shame that this problem was allowed to continue for so long.  It would appear that a 'number cruncher' must have decided that those engines would still make a profit even when they fail under warranty.  Why else would LR continue to install those engines?  When did LR know about the problem?  If LR owners knew in '00 about premature valve jobs, its is not a giant leap to think some LR decision maker must have known...unless it was Gary.
