I understand that there were two different fuel pumps installed on my 97 Discovery. How do I tell which one I have?

I recently had my fuel tank recalled and replaced.  LR also replaced the fuel pump.  I had a look at the old pump and there are codes on the top.  My old one was ESR1224 and the replacement is ESR3926.

IF you remove the carpet in the rear of your Disco, you'll reveal a circular flange that covers the fuel pump access area.  Remove the flange and see if your pump has any labels or indentifying numbers in the plastic top.  

The above part numbers are for my '95 pump and its possible that your '97 would have a different number.

NB:  I did not know there were two types of pumps for the '97.  Perhaps one was replaced by an improved model?
