Land Rover Repair: 2003 Discovery ABS / TC / Descent Control Issue, brake rotors, hill descent control

Question
Hi, I have a 2003 Discovery II with almost 40k miles. I bought it from a LR dealer as a certified Landrover with 17k miles. I always felt that the ABS system kicked in too easily (compared to my Disco I). Soon, the ABS audible alarm would ring under normal breaking and the warning light come on. The situation has degraded to the point where ABS does not work at all and 4 warning lights are permanently lit: ABS, BRAKE, T/C and Hill descent control. All related fuses are ok. The dealer claims that I need new rotors and pads (not covered under warranty). I don't agree since the rotors have minimal wear and the pads aren't close to the end of the wear indicator. Any advice on what could cause these problems would be gratefully received. Many thanks, Paul Carlin.

Answer
Hi well if the abs lights are on it means there is a fault.the    abs system should be off when lights are on.you have to have the faults checked to see what the problem is.I really dont think brake rotors & pads will fix the problem.find out the fault codes first send back e-mail.
