Land Rover Repair: check engine light/anti lock light on, seat frame, system tests

Question
I did forget to mention this is a 1997 dico I.  I also disconnected the battery to see if it would clear the codes, but it did not.

Thanks

Answer
Hi Norm,

check the OBD reader below your passenger seat. Usually, it is velcro'd to seat frame.  Can be removed and extended out for easy reading (cable is about 10-12" long).  Need to put ignition in ACC (all lights, system tests, pumps activate) just before ignition.  Don't think it will work if Disco ignition sequence is completed and engine running.

Let me know, asap.

Best of luck,

JohnMc

NB:  right now I am tackling a severe power steering leak on my '95 Disco. I'll get back to you ASAID (as soon as I done).  Hopefully, in a few hours.
