Lexus Repair: POSSIBLE ALTERNATOR, replacement alternators, amp fuse

Question
-------------------------
I took my car to a repair shop for an alternator, they put a new alternator in and the car still would not charge, they told me the put the old alternator in and change the 120 amp fuse and it worked.. but the car cut off on me again and I bought a battery thinking maybe the alternator  killed the battery and the car ran fine and today my light is on again.  Followup To

Hello, When the battery light comes on it means that the alternator is not supplying the battery with enough voltage. It sounds like you may need a new alternator.

Answer
Hello again, If they are not experienced with the Lexus line they are going to have problems fixing it. My opinion is that it is still could be the alternator. I have seen cheap replacement alternators that did not work out of the box so stick to a quality part also. The alternator being bad could blow the fuse at times and then you replace the fuse and it lasts for a few days and it blows it again. Or they may have blown it installing the replacement alternator.
