Lexus Repair: 1993 Lexus LS400 Overdrive Solenoid, lexus ls400, toyota lexus

Question
I recently bought a 93 LS400 and I after flushing the transmission and replacing the filter I get a flashing overdrive light on the dashboard after driving for a while.  I think it might be the overdrive solenoid but its only avaiable from the dealer.  Will I damage the car or transmission by driving the car until i get the solenoid replaced?

Thanks,

Answer
Hello, The one thing you never do is flush a automatic trans. What happens is it loosens up particles that now get pushed through the trans causing things like solenoids and valve bodys to stick. And of course when changing the fluid only use Toyota/Lexus Type IV fluid. I do not think it will hurt to drive it at this point.
