Lexus Repair: 1999 Lexus RX 300, AWD, mass air flow, lexus rx 300

Question
Check engine light on, ran code, O2 sensor, bank one.  I replaced it, light came back on, Mass Air Flow was new code.  Before I replaced Mass air, it idled weak and acted like it would stall, until I gave it gas, still idled bad with new O2.  Gas Mileage is dropping.

I replaced mass air, and put old O2 sensor back on, no more O2 sensor codes, but check engine light back on.  My friend says it is not O2 sensor, but that I need a temperature control sensor? (plus after I installed the Mass Air-idle problem gone-gas mileage still dropping)  Said some part is half failing and that is why we are getting bad codes.  The old Mass air was very dirty, we cleaned it first and re-installed, light came back on , so installed the new one.  Also changed PCV.

Any ideas what the real problem is, every time I put on a new part as to coding, we get another code.

Answer
Hello, The problem I see the most is that people replace the wrong O2 sensor. You want to make sure that you have replaced the bank one sensor which is the back one at the firewall. The code should have also told you if it was sensor one or two on bank one.
