Lexus Repair: Lexus ES300 Tranmission, lexus es300, timing belts

MyLexus  1995 ES300 Transmission failed with 145K miles. The Rest of the car seems to be ok. What would be the best option about trasmisssion replacement, Rebuild it or put an used one on it?. Will the recent Es300 model transmissions fit to 95 models.
What is the recommended milage for changing the timing belt.

Hello, I would have it rebuilt. Used is used and if you plan on keeping the car you do not want to replace it in another year. Remember always have the fluid changed every 15k miles with Lexus transmission fluid only and never flush it. Timing belts are replaced every 60k miles.
