Lexus Repair: Lexus LS 400 power steering, high pressure hose, lexus ls 400

Question
I have a 1993 LS 400 with a power steering leek.
I'm not sure exactly where it is at, however my mechanic says that it will cost more to repair than the car is worth because of the difficulty of the repair. Is there a common problem with power steering on that year Lexus?
I have to fill the power steering resavor 2 times a week

Answer
Hello Chuck, It sounds like you need to find a higher quality mechanic. There are a few things that like to leak like the pump, high pressure hose or rack but even if you replaced all three it does not out value the car. We charge about $750 for the rack, $525 for the pump and about $440 for the hose while doing the pump.
