Answer
Hey Lou,

Hey A/C work stinks, but your problem is a bad heater control valve. I beleive there is a Technical Service Bulletin on this. Your pressures are within factory specs, so what is happening is the driverside tempeture control solenoid is not working. It's default setting is warm. I'm sorry, but I don't know if in 2000 they used the newer electronic solenoid or the vacuum style. I do know that it's difficult to get to and you may want to have a pro do this repair. If you want to do it yourself, I will be happy to supply you with the info and diagrams we'll need to do this. It's likely vacuum and it could be as simple as repairing a bad vacuum line. Let me know in by  resubmitting and we'll take it to the next level. Hope this helps.
