Lincoln/Mercury Repair: speedometer & power steering, mercury sable, dollors

97 Mercury Sable
speedometer quit & no power steering at the same time while driving approx 35mph

lasted a few minutes at this speed & idle as well

engine never died or even sputtered

no warning light

turned off engine & re-started, hasn't repeated yet & no indication of problem from the dealership computer diag

You did have a problem when you were driveing .
It was the compuiter it lost its mem.
When you shut the car off it reset the compuiter.
If ok now and it should stay that way .
If happens again i would tell them you want the compuiter reprogamed it is only 45 dollors for the serivice .
