Lincoln/Mercury Repair: 1999 Mercury Mystique starter, mercury mystique, fly wheel

I had a new starter installed about 11 months ago.
Two weeks ago I started hearing a grinding noise about every 20 times starting the car.I had the dealer look at problem - they replace the starter again, but still have same issue. They now say the noise is comming from the fly wheel.I asked them why tey replaced the starter and they said they check it and saw internal problems. How do you,or can you check for internal problems on a starter. It was working fine.

the only way they are going to know this is if they checked the fly wheel the first time they installed the starter they should have told you then the fly wheel was geting worn not your fault theres they should change the fly wheel no charge . fight them
