Mazda Repair: Instrument gauges, side kick panel, gas gauge

Question
On my 1997 Miata, the temperature gauge and the tachometer quit registering simultaneously.  I suspect a fuse, but which one? And puzzled because gas gauge and oil pressure gauges still work.

Also, if it's not a fuse or gauge, where do I find the engine temperature sender unit?

normally there are to fuse box locations one is in the drives side kick panel the other under the hod the cover should tell you the location or the fuse and what size amp is to be used not sure about the engine temp unit but it is normally near the termastat housing they usually look like a bolt with a metal connector end on the top of it. if you ground the wire to it and the gause spikes then the gauge and fuse are ok and its the unit itself thats bad
