Mazda Repair: 1999 Mazda Miata fuel lines, mazda miata, searce engine

Is there a special tool to remove fuel line connectors in the engine compartment on a 1999 Mazda Miata? Any help would surely be appreciated.

yes there is there are several different types of fuel line disconnect tools if you go to snapon's web site and in the searce engine type in fuel line there'll be a page that comes up listing what they have look to see what you need and get the part number and a picture if you take the part number and picture to almost any parts store they'll be able to get one for you normally there not that exspensive unless your buying a set.

Note: releave the fuel pressure before disconnecting normally you can do this by removing the fuel pump fuel will the engine is running allow the engine to die with the fuel still out crank the engine a couple times it shouldn't start. ( the fuel presuure is now releaved and it is safe to remove the lines however there will still be some fuel that comes out so take caution when working
