Mazda Repair: driveshaft replacemant, mazda 323 1993, hub assembly

QUESTION: I have a new driveshaft,right side, for a mazda 323, 1993.do I have to remove the entire hub assembly to get the old driveshaft out?

ANSWER: no you have toremove the axle nut and seperate the lower ball joint and tie rod from the streering knuckle. once done pull it towards you and place to the side pup the axle from the tranny and install a seal seal and the axle and

Note: use a seal driver set to replace the seal this will insure the seal goes in true and doesn't damage it

QUESTION: Even with it connected on top to the strut?

yeas leave it connected after seperating from the lower ball joint and tie rod you should be able to slid it out of place off to the side the may also be a link you have the remove form the strut

haven't worked on a 323 in a while but the princleble is the same as any car remove the tire and axle nut seperate ball joint and tie rod pull streering knuckle towards you and place to the side then pop the axle from the tranny
